Who We Are

OrgSupport was founded in 2006 by Craig Ottavelli. With six years of experience as a communications coordinator for the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges and a lifetime of volunteerism with local nonprofits, he recognized a need to marry low-cost staffing services with the unique needs of nonprofit boards and executive directors.

Craig Ottavelli

Craig's formal training is in higher education, policy analysis. He earned a bachelor's degree from The Evergreen State College and a master's degree from Dartmouth College. His first love has always been volunteerism, he feels fortunate to have worked with many organizations and individuals in the community both as a member of boards and as a volunteer. Professionally, his background is in education and communications. Craig recently concluded service as a member of the Olympia City Council. He and his wife Amy have two sons, ages eight and three.

Marsha Longmeier
Marsha Longmeier

Marsha earned her Master's degree in Human Resources and was awarded an Executive Certificate in Public and Nonprofit Leadership. She has additional experience supporting the marketing and distribution of educational materials to area schools. As a primary resource for OrgSupport clients, Marsha's can-do attitude and highly personable nature have made her a valuable asset to the team. Volunteerism is a passion of Marsha's and she loves being involved with nonprofits.

Timmian Smith
Timmian Smith

Timmian has an extensive background in both the education sector and office support. She has worked in nonprofit and for-profit school settings and has experience with bookkeeping and back office management. Timmian earned her bachelor's degree while working in the Academic Personnel Office and has also supported emergency service organizations, a fire station, and schools. With her background in the public and private sector, particularly in education and office management, Timmian is an asset on the OrgSupport team.

Lydia McPherson
Lydia McPherson

Lydia earned her bachelor's degree in history from The College of Wooster. She recently moved to Olympia from Aberdeen to join the OrgSupport team. In addition to her work with the Kurt Cobain Memorial Foundation (really!), Lydia has a background in office management and customer service. Her personal interests include travel and foreign cultures.

Ivy Ayers
Ivy Ayers

Ivy is a 2012 graduate of The Evergreen State College where she studied communications and the humanities. Each summer, she helps lead a summer camp for teen girls that teaches pioneer day skills. OrgSupport benefits from her careful approach to data management and her quick wit in equal measure. In her free time, she enjoys sewing and talking to her husband.

Michelle Tobin
Michelle Tobin

Michelle brings payroll and bookkeeping expertise to the OrgSupport team. She has served the bookkeeping needs of organizations including retail and nonprofit endeavors. As an OrgSupport employee she is a resource for OrgSupport clients with employees and payroll needs. As the treasurer for Ballet Northwest, Michelle knows firsthand the unique needs of nonprofits.

Gerriann Armstrong
Gerriann Armstrong

Gerriann, located in Spokane, WA is a trained social worker with a history of Program Management for non-profits serving the most vulnerable populations. She attended South Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT. Her career began during the 1990’s in the field of Homeless & Housing then moved to Emergency Services and finally to Community Leadership in Parent Advocacy within the public school setting. As a parent of child with Autism, Gerriann has assisted her community in becoming more aware of the needs of vulnerable populations through her efforts as a board member with the Autism Society of Washington. Gerriann has a well-developed network of collagues in Spokane support her efforts on behalf of those in her local community.
